A local shoemaking company in Kildare is seeking an experienced shoemaker to work across various tasks, focusing mainly on bottoming and repairing footwear. The candidate must have at least 3 years of experience and be proficient in using specific machinery. Flexibility and a good command of English are essential for this role, which involves training and skill development.

TUTTY'S HANDMADE SHOES, Millbrook, Naas, Co. Kildare, W91 EK4H. Our new shoemaker will work across a wide range of disciplines, but will mainly concentrate on bottoming, finishing, socketing & repairing. The candidate will begin working on repairs and must have experience using a Blake and outsole stitching machine. The candidate will also be responsible to assist with other tasks such as bottoming and finishing. It is beneficial if the candidate has experience making orthopaedic footwear. Building rocker soles, roll offs, flared soles will be a daily occurrence. We require the candidate to be flexible and open minded. At Tutty’s we make a wide variety of footwear which helps our crafts men and women to develop their skills and keeps the work interesting and challenging.
Requirements
We will be providing training to develop the candidates’ skills; however, previous experience of shoemaking or shoe repairing is required for this role.
Working hours 40 hours 07:30-16:30 Mon-Thurs, 07:30-16:00 Fri. Good understanding of written and spoken English. A minimum of 3 years experience working as a shoemaker or shoe repairer.
