IT Search is seeking a Senior Security Engineer (Automation) for a Financial Services client in Dublin 2 on a hybrid model. The role emphasizes hands-on cybersecurity across engineering and network architecture, with a focus on automation and policy as code.

The candidate should have extensive scripting experience (Bash/Python) and familiarity with Terraform/Ansible, ensuring high availability while driving security improvements across the environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of cybersecurity experience with a demonstrated automation track record.
• Scripting knowledge: Bash and Python.
• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform/Ansible; policy as code is a plus.
• Excellent communication and ability to work onsite in Dublin 2.

Senior Security Engineer (Automation) – Financial Services – Dublin 2 (WFH/onsite hybrid)

Our client is a global Financial Institution, with its Dublin base managing acting as European hub for various subsidiaries. They have engaged us to speak to Senior Security Engineers with hands on experience working with networking, firewall, Infrastructure and endpoint security ideally within the Financial Services Sector. Additional experience across Automation (utilising scripting) and knowledge of IaC a benefit.

The role:

• To join the Security Team (responsible for cybersecurity across Engineering and Network Architecture)
• Based in Dublin 2 with a hybrid onsite/work from home model
• Maintain focus on availability of services for internal customers, reviewing changes and automating processes
• Manage pipelines of internal ongoing improvements and policies

Requirements:

• 10 years of commercial hands on Cybersecurity experience, with a demonstrated track record of Automating Security processes
• Scripting knowledge, Bash/Python/Shell within a related environment
• Exposure to additional tools such as Terraform/Ansible most welcome plus Policy as Code ideal
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to work onsite when required (Dublin 2)
