Job summary

Amazon's Workforce Solutions team seeks a self-driven engineer to define the technical vision and architecture for pay, training, and career mobility services used by global associates. You will lead end-to-end delivery, mentor engineers, and partner with PM-T and SDMs to translate business needs into scalable, reliable solutions on AWS.

Qualifications

• Experience mentoring or leading an engineering team.
• Experience leading architecture and design for scalable systems.
• Experience in professional software development.
• Proficiency in Java, C++, or C# with OO design.
• Recent development experience (last 3 years).

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical vision and architecture for services that provide Amazon employees with pay, training, and career mobility options at global scale.
• Architect highly available, scalable, serverless solutions handling diverse workflows and country-specific rules/regulations.
• Lead system design decisions and trade-offs; navigate ambiguity when strategy is not defined.
• Own end-to-end delivery from concept to production operations.
• Collaborate with PM-T, SDMs, and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and engineering best practices.
