Job summary

Village Vets in Ireland is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join a leadership-driven clinic. You will lead the nursing team, mentor staff, and work closely with the Lead Veterinary Surgeon to maintain high clinical standards and excellent patient care.

The role includes managing rosters, supporting surgeries and anaesthesia, overseeing clinical records, and ensuring compliance with health and safety.

Qualifications

• RVN with leadership experience in a veterinary setting.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop nursing staff.
• Strong organisational and communication skills in a busy clinic.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the nursing team, fostering a high-performing environment.
• Assist with surgeries, anaesthesia, and treatments to a high clinical standard.
• Oversee patient care, medication protocols, and clinical records accuracy.
• Manage rosters, annual leave, and team scheduling.
• Monitor stock, costs and clinic resources; support monthly financial processes.
• Ensure compliance with clinical and health & safety standards.
• Oversee front-of-house operations and client experience.
• Conduct 1-2-1s and performance reviews; mentor staff.
