Job summary

A prominent engineering consultancy is seeking an Engineering/Design Manager to join their Rail team in Dublin. The successful candidate will provide technical oversight for rail projects and lead a team of engineers. This role requires a Chartered Engineer with at least 15 years of experience, ideally in a consultancy environment, focusing on delivering high-quality multi-disciplinary rail projects.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer status with Engineers Ireland or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of postgraduate consultancy experience.
• Experience in delivering projects to BIM Level 2 equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall engineering and technical leadership on rail projects.
• Act as Design or Engineering Manager on projects.
• Manage the multi‑disciplinary design process.
• Ensure compliance with guidance, standards, and client requirements.
• Develop technical/quality proposals for new commissions.
