Senior Quantity Surveyor

A well-established Main Contractor in the Greater Waterford Area is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Manage & control project budgets, valuations, forecasts across residential projects.
  • Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities & related documentation.
  • Assess, value, and process subcontractor payments and variations.
  • Conduct cost analysis and risk management activities throughout project lifecycles.
  • Ensure contractual compliance and assist in resolving commercial issues or disputes.
  • Work closely with project teams to track progress and manage financial reporting.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, & stakeholders to maintain strong relationships.
  • Support procurement strategies and supply chain negotiations.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally within residential construction.
  • Strong understanding of Irish construction contracts and regulatory standards.
  • Proficient in cost planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
