Job summary

Stryker in Carrigtwohill, Ireland, is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to provide quality engineering support and direction in QA, control and preventative activities within operations and related functions.

The role focuses on preventative measures, continuous improvement of products and processes, and leading quality initiatives. It is a 23‑month fixed term contract requiring a strong background in regulated environments and Lean Six Sigma awareness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Science, Engineering or equivalent/related subject and 2 or more years of work experience in a quality discipline.
• Previous experience in a regulated environment desirable.
• CQE or equivalent course work / experience desirable.
• Proficient in understanding Med Device manufacturing processes desirable.
• Familiarity with ISO 13485, GDP, GMP desirable.
• Lean Six Sigma training a distinct advantage.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Have a good understanding of engineering and quality practices & methods.
• High level of PC skills with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with operations and business functions to ensure quality performance of product and processes.
• Oversee and approve NC & CAPA, mentor in problem solving and root cause analysis.
• Lead and participate in development and improvement of manufacturing processes for existing and new products.
• Review concession requests and change management activities.
• Maintain KPI for monitoring process quality and interpret trends.
• Support QATs and Human Factors practices; assist in risk management activities.
