Job summary

Travelers Europe is seeking a Software Engineer to advance the hx Renew platform and support legacy Sequel Ratings as it is phased out. The role includes leading engineering efforts, mentoring teammates, and delivering software solutions for pricing and underwriting systems.

You will collaborate with a diverse engineering team, apply modern techniques, and participate in a hybrid work model combining three days in the office and two days remote.

Qualifications

• Experience with Hyperexponential hx Renew or similar pricing/ratings platforms.
• Strong programming/development experience across modern tech stacks.
• Proven ability to mentor and lead engineers and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Consult with users to determine technical specifications and coordinate resources to solve problems.
• Guide the team to tackle complex engineering challenges.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers working on pricing/insurance platforms.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions based on requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers to learn new technologies and apply best practices.
• Research industry trends to inform solutions for software engineering problems.
