Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Manager (Data Centres) for our Dublin office. You will lead mission-critical projects from conception through procurement, construction and commissioning, ensuring safety, on-time delivery and budget adherence.

Responsibilities include directing multidisciplinary teams, managing client interfaces, risks, changes and governance across all phases, and maintaining strong financial discipline for reliable programme outcomes.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in project-related discipline.
• Pursuing Chartered status with professional bodies.
• Affiliation with the Association for Project Management would be advantageous.

• Lead end-to-end delivery of data centre and colocation projects from concept to commissioning.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams to meet programme, cost and quality targets.
• Serve as primary client interface with clear communication of objectives.
• Manage risk, change control and governance across all project phases.
• Oversee contractor performance and site operations in live and new-build environments.
• Control budgets, schedules and reporting to maintain programme certainty.

Education

Postgraduate qualification in Project Management / Construction / Engineering / Quantity Surveying

At AECOM, we are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager (Data Centres) to join our Dublin office.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Project Manager specialising in data centres, you will lead the successful delivery of mission-critical projects. You will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle - from early-stage concept and design development through procurement, construction, and commissioning - ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of performance, reliability, and efficiency.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Leading the end-to-end delivery of data centre and colocation projects, from initial concept and design through procurement, construction, and commissioning
• Directing multidisciplinary teams to successfully deliver complex, mission-critical projects in line with programme, cost, and quality targets
• Serving as the primary client interface, ensuring clear communication and alignment with technical, operational, and commercial objectives
• Assuming full accountability for project outcomes, including risk management, change control, and governance across all phases
• Managing contractor performance and site operations, including oversight of construction activities and commissioning within both live and new-build environments
• Controlling project budgets, schedules, and reporting processes, maintaining strong financial discipline and programme certainty throughout

Here's what we're looking for:

As the successful candidate, you will have experience working within our primary markets, along with the following qualifications and experience:

• Postgraduate qualification, ideally in Project Management, Construction, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline
• In the process of pursuing Chartered status with one of the following institutions: SCSI / RICS / CIOB / RIBA / Engineers Ireland (EI)
• Affiliation with the Association for Project Management (APM) would be a benefit
