DRA Consulting Engineers invites applications for a Senior / Project Civil & Structural Engineer to join our Limerick team. You’ll gain hands-on experience across design, project management and client engagement, while working towards Chartered Engineer status with mentoring from senior engineers.

You'll collaborate with Directors and Chartered Engineers, spanning residential, commercial, educational and infrastructure projects across Ireland, with structured career progression and support for

Qualifications

• Honours degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 4+ years' experience in consulting engineering.
• Chartered Engineer status or ambition to achieve Chartered Engineer status.
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD; experience with Robot, Tedds or Causeway is a plus.
• Strong communication, organisational and project coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Civil and structural design across residential, commercial, educational and infrastructure projects.
• Lead project management and coordination from concept through delivery.
• Prepare engineering drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Utilise software such as Robot, Tedds and Causeway for design analysis.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Manage project documentation and administration.
• Mentor and develop graduate engineers and technicians.
• Develop practical, efficient and innovative design solutions.

DRA Consulting Engineers is a growing civil & structural engineering consultancy with offices in Dublin, Limerick and Wexford. Due to continued expansion, we're looking for a Senior / Project Civil & Structural Engineer to join our Limerick team and play a key role in the delivery of exciting projects across Ireland.

Working directly with Directors and Chartered Engineers, you'll gain hands‑on experience across design, project management and client engagement while receiving dedicated mentorship to help you achieve Chartered Engineer status and / or career progression.

About the Role

As a Senior / Project Civil & Structural Engineer, you'll work on a wide range of residential, commercial, educational, conservation and infrastructure projects while developing both your technical and project management expertise.

Key responsibilities include:

• Civil and structural engineering design across a variety of projects
• Project management and coordination from concept through delivery
• Preparing engineering drawings using Revit and AutoCAD
• Using design software including Robot, Tedds and Causeway
• Collaborating with clients, architects, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams
• Managing project documentation and administration
• Supporting and mentoring graduate engineers and technicians
• Developing practical, efficient and innovative design solutions

What We're Looking For

• Honours Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
• 4+ years' experience in consulting engineering
• Strong knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles
• Experience using Revit and AutoCAD
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities
• Chartered Engineer status or ambition to achieve Chartered Engineer status
• Membership of Engineers Ireland or the Institution of Structural Engineers
• Experience with Robot, Tedds, Causeway or similar design software
• Project coordination or project management experience
• Previous experience mentoring junior engineers or technicians
