Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Program/Project Manager for software development initiatives. You will partner with developers, product, design, and technology teams to align technical work with business goals and drive timely deliverables.

The role requires building schedules, managing multiple work streams, and coordinating with global teams across time zones; travel is expected several times a year.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in program/project management for software development.
• Proficient in Jira (query/ticket creation, board/dashboard creation and facilitation).
• Proficient in AI tools to generate reports, automate workflows and gather insights from data sources.
• Experience owning a program/portfolio of products/features, scoping requirements, planning milestones, and aiding technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with teams at all levels to align technical context with business objectives and drive deliverables.

• Coordinate with global units and SMEs to identify goals, expectations and tasks.
• Proactively track status and ensure schedules and priorities are met; escalate issues when needed.

Job description

• Partnering and direct facilitation with teams at all levels; from in the weeds with developers on projects to summations at the executive level
• Demonstrates the ability to learn and communicate technical context and align it with business objectives to help drive project deliverables, resources, and timelines
• Creating and driving the project schedule, working with dev management task assignments, and managing schedule progress; from large phases through to detailed tasks, including understanding and managing dependencies within and across Product Groups
• Collaborating with staff and management of multiple worldwide business units (including subject matter experts, product management, design teams, and technology teams) to clearly identify, explain, and communicate their project involvement, project goals, expectations, and tasks
• Proactively tracks the status of project activities and ensures that schedules and priorities are being met
• Ensures critical issues are identified, tracked through resolution, and escalated if necessary
• Proactively manages daily/weekly project communication and status reporting
• Leads Scrum meetings and creates and follows up on meeting minutes/action items
• Flexibly working across timezones to help coordinate and follow up on work
• Willingness to travel both locally and internationally several times a year

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience working in a program/project management capacity for software development
• Must be proficient in the use of Jira (query/ticket creation, board/dashboard creation and facilitation)
• Must be proficient in the use of AI tools to generate reports, automate workflows and gather insights from disparate data sources
• Experience owning a program/portfolio of products/features, scoping requirements, planning milestones, and being an active resource for technical teams
• Experience in planning, organizing, managing and tracking engineering work (with multiple complex dependencies) as part of integrated programs/portfolios at scale
• Experience with/exposure to large scale platforms (cloud technologies), complex inter-dependent technologies and software development projects that require collaboration between multiple teams and areas across the organization with expert dependency and risk management
• Seasoned team coach that manages and alleviates (instead of running from) persistent obstacles
• Experience with Software Development Lifecycle and Project Management Methodologies, specifically Agile/Scrum
• Experience with Scaled Agile Framework methodology a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
• Fluency in both Hebrew and English (written and verbal) needed
• Must enjoy consensus-driven environments where collaboration, honest and open communications are paramount
• Must work effectively and professionally with cross-functional groups across divisions, worldwide, as part of a team
• Must exhibit meticulous attention to detail, and have the ability to make logical, timely decisions
