Job summary

Life Science Recruitment seeks a Production Manager for the Wexford manufacturing facility. The role oversees a solid dose and liquids manufacturing department, driving daily output, quality and efficiency in a highly regulated environment.

You will lead a team, ensure GMP/ISO compliance, manage planning and training, and foster continuous improvement while maintaining safety and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in a production environment, in a management role, with a proven track record.
• Strong education and experience in continuous improvement, with a proven track record.
• Strong management and decision-making skills, providing excellent people management and communication.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritise and apply good time management skills.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office packages, including operational data sheets.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of employees within the Manufacturing Department to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
• Manage targets in line with planning, business and client requirements.
• Support the weekly plan to ensure all customer orders are planned, scheduled, monitored and fulfilled on time in conjunction with the Planning Administrator.
• Ensure all employee relations issues are fairly and consistently dealt with, in conjunction with the HR Manager, to include attendance, compliance, engagement, proficiency & behaviour.
• Manage the time and attendance system for Manufacturing personnel, ensuring compliance from all team members.
• Ensure GMP/ISO standards and 18001 compliance in manufacturing and packing operations, including audits and inspections.
• Ensure all Manufacturing and Packing staff are trained in GMP, Health & Safety, SOPs and related procedures.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety in the Manufacturing Department.
• Continual assessment of effectiveness and opportunities for continuous improvement within Manufacturing.
• Continual assessment of training needs and cross-training to support business demands.
• Compliance with batch records, risk assessments, corrective actions and related paperwork.
• Prepare equipment with Maintenance Team to ensure efficient, clean and safe operation.
• Communicate via the tiered management system (TMS) daily and weekly as directed.
• Participate in further education and development opportunities as directed.
• Ensure optimal use of resources and deployment across the organisation.
• Provide training to new and existing employees as required.
• Promote teamwork across departments and contribute to problem solving and ideas.
• Undertake other tasks to enhance the business as guided by management.
