Job summary

QT Technologies Ireland Limited is seeking a Security Engineer to perform security assessments, develop hardware and software security features, and collaborate across functions to ensure product security throughout the lifecycle. The role emphasizes threat analysis, vulnerability assessment, and remediation of security risks.

The candidate will work with engineering teams to implement secure development practices and provide guidance on security issues for Qualcomm products in Cork, Ireland.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of Security Engineering experience or related work experience.
• 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, System Verilog, etc.

Responsibilities

• Applies Security knowledge and experience to achieve engineering business objectives.
• Develops new hardware and software security features and updates existing products; ensures security of all products is maintained throughout the product lifecycle.
• Performs security assessments and evaluation of company products, including vulnerability and risk assessments, threat analysis, and security code reviews to identify potential design and implementation vulnerabilities.
• Identifies remediation for security risks and vulnerabilities, responds to product-security incidents, and assists customers regarding product-security related issues.
• Develops and deploys training and tools that result in secure product development.
