Job summary

BD Ireland is seeking a Senior Product Development Program Manager in Limerick to lead complex product development programs from planning through commercialization and launch. You will shape go‑to‑market strategies, manage risks, dependencies and decisions, and communicate clearly to senior leaders.

Job Description

As a Senior Product Development Program Manager, you will lead complex product development programs from planning through commercialization and launch. You will define the program structure, bring together technical, business and customer requirements, and provide the direction needed to turn complex ideas into products.

This is a highly transparent role for someone who enjoys solving ambitious problems, bringing clarity to complex programs and guiding expert cross-functional teams. You will influence both technical and commercial direction, manage dependencies and risks, and communicate recommendations clearly to senior leaders to support effective decision-making.

You will also play an important role in shaping go-to-market and launch strategies, ensuring that customer needs, business objectives and product development plans remain throughout the program lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead the program architecture for complex product development and commercialization programs.

• Shape cases and program direction using market trends, growth drivers and detailed project information.
• Communicate complex program topics and recommendations clearly to senior leaders, enabling timely and well-informed decisions.

Preferred Requirements:

• Degree-level qualification or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• Significant program or project management experience, ideally involving complex new product development and commercialization.
• Solid understanding of project management principles, integrated planning, risk management and phase-gate product development.
• Ability to connect technical, business and customer requirements and turn complex information into clear plans and decisions.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing technical and commercial direction without relying solely on formal authority.
• Confident interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to senior audiences.
