Job summary

Morgan McKinley is seeking a Senior Process Engineer in Tipperary to provide technical problem-solving support for operations. The role emphasizes analysing processes, applying lean techniques, and driving capital investment aligned to business objectives.

The candidate will lead process improvements, manage graduate engineering programs, and mentor teams while coordinating site Lean activities and supporting major equipment upgrades.

Qualifications

• BSc Degree in engineering/science including Chemical/Mechanical/Manufacturing.
• Green/Black Belt Lean certification.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in a process role or project environment.
• Experience in Lean tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of steam, heavy rotating plant and utilities.
• Rapid problem solving ability for a 24/7 business environment.
• Strong planning, numeracy, analytical and PC skills.
• Awareness of SOPs, Safety Legislation & Codes of Practice.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead on process improvements to increase plant efficiencies and drive process excellence.
• Lead & support production trials, process modifications, investigation studies, etc., in development of new products.
• Coach and mentor operational teams to advance their technical knowledge.
• Undertake, manage and report on specific improvement projects.
• Co-ordinate Lean activities on site.
• Develop and promote solution-based protocols arising from manufacturing issues.
• Support maintenance teams to develop their performance and knowledge base.
• Provide technical support to large projects and major equipment upgrades.
