Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to design, optimize and validate high-performance manufacturing processes for clients in semiconductors and high-tech sectors. You will lead process design, safety analyses, and regulatory compliance within multidisciplinary teams across FEED, detailed design and startup phases.

You will collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver robust, efficient processes, improve safety, sustainability and cost efficiency throughout the project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical/Process/Mechanical Eng.
• 8–12+ years in process engineering within advanced manufacturing.
• Familiar with US/EU Pressure Vessel and Piping Standards.
• Experience with process design tools listed above.
• Strong process safety, risk assessment, and regulatory knowledge.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and manage priorities.
• Experience supporting commissioning or startup phases.
• Excellent communication with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead process design activities including mass/energy balances and PFDs/P&IDs.
• Develop and optimize processes to improve throughput and cost efficiency.
• Support FEED, detailed design, commissioning and startup activities.
• Conduct process hazard analyses and ensure regulatory alignment.
• Review conformity with EU Directives (PED, ATEX, Machinery Directives).
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, controls and project teams.
• Plan and schedule the discipline scope for projects.
• Prepare technical docs, specs, reports and validation protocols.
• Engage with clients to understand requirements and present solutions.
• Troubleshoot process issues during construction and commissioning.
