You will partner closely with engineering, quality, regulatory, security, operations, and commercial stakeholders to align priorities, make critical trade-off decisions, and ensure work delivers the highest patient, clinical, and business value.**Key Responsibilities:*** Define and communicate a clear product vision grounded in patient and clinician workflows, clinical outcomes, and system interoperability (device, cloud, mobile, enterprise); ensure that vision translates into prioritised, executable work.* Establish and maintain a repeatable customer discovery cadence, synthesizing customer insights into opportunity briefs, roadmap priorities, and backlog decisions, while ensuring evidence and decisions remain traceable.* Lead continuous discovery with patients, clinicians, and care teams; use evidence, data, and post-market signals to validate problems and solutions while managing risk — and convert insights into refined initiatives, epics, and features ready for delivery.* Own a KPI scorecard for assigned products, including defining success metrics, reviewing results on a regular cadence, identifying outcome gaps, and adjusting roadmap priorities based on product performance.* Apply and champion a standardized prioritization framework, documenting trade-off decisions and ensuring priorities remain transparent, evidence-based, and aligned with customer, business, and platform objectives.* Own and prioritise the product backlog end-to-end; writes clear problem statements, acceptance criteria, and value hypotheses; ensures work is sequenced to maximize patient, clinical, and business impact.* Set priorities and make explicit trade-offs across safety, reliability, operations, technology, time, and investment; makes real-time scope decisions during execution while remaining accountable for outcomes and learning when targets are missed.* Own the full device + digital lifecycle, including modernisation, technical debt reduction, component obsolescence, and global phase-in/phase-out planning; balances new value creation with sustainment and platform health.* Serve as the single, accountable voice of value for the team; partners closely with engineering, quality, regulatory, security, operations, and commercial teams to ensure clarity of intent, readiness of requirements, and fast decision velocity.* Actively participate in sprint ceremonies (planning, refinement, reviews); accepts or rejects completed work against defined criteria; ensures increments meet safety, regulatory, and quality expectations before release.* Define success metrics and mechanisms; uses dashboards, reviews, telemetry, and post-release learning to continuously adjust backlog priorities and improve reliability, adoption, and patient impact.* Enable adoption at scale by ensuring launch readiness, supply continuity, and clear “before/after” value for internal and external stakeholders; ensures operational readiness is reflected in backlog priorities.* Translate department and business goals into outcome-based OKRs; own the roadmap as a living execution plan tied to measurable outcomes — not a static list of features. **Required Qualifications:*** Requires an Honours Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 10 years of product management experience (or equivalent), including direct backlog ownership and delivery accountability for complex device and digital products.* Proven experience owning outcomes, roadmaps, and prioritized backlogs for regulated, safety-critical, and/or global products.* Demonstrated experience working alongside other product team roles in Agile environments by writing epics and stories, defining acceptance criteria, participating in sprint ceremonies, and formally accepting delivered increments.* Strong ability to make explicit trade-offs across safety, quality, scope, time, cost, and technical debt with accountability for results.* Experience leading empowered, cross-functional teams by influence in a matrixed, global organization.* Strong customer and patient centricity paired with data-driven decision making, including use of telemetry, post-market signals, and field feedback.* Domain fluency across software (cloud, mobile, enterprise) and/or embedded systems, enabling credible collaboration with engineering and architecture on feasibility and sequencing decisions.* Experience translating business and clinical goals into measurable outcomes and tying those outcomes to roadmap and sprint-level execution.* Demonstrated success launching and scaling products globally, including operational readiness, supply continuity, and lifecycle management.* Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of articulating vision, trade-offs, and value clearly to technical, clinical, and executive audiences.* Demonstrated ability to evaluate AI/ML capabilities and translate them into strategic product requirements while maintaining safety, regulatory compliance, and clinical standards **Preferred Qualifications:*** Experience operating within global regulatory and quality frameworks **(FDA, EU MDR, ISO 13485)**, including leading design reviews, risk assessments, and audit interactions.* Demonstrated track record embedding cybersecurity, privacy, reliability, and safety-by-design principles into product architecture and backlog decisions.* Financial and business experience, including stakeholder ownership of business cases, P&L influence, ROI modelling, and multi-year investment trade-offs.* Relative experience scaling modern product operating models across organizations — continuous discovery, empowered teams, platform strategies, API ecosystems, and interoperability standards (e.g., FHIR).* Relative experience managing global product portfolios across multiple regions, including phased market introductions, supply continuity, obsolescence planning, and commercial alignment.* Understanding of how AI changes care delivery, including business model implications for connected health products.* Familiarity with regulatory and reimbursement frameworks for AI/ML as a medical device. **#LI-hybrid****Medtronic offer a competitive salary and flexible Benefits Package**
