Our client a leading Personal Lines insurer is shaping the future of Motor and Home Insurance pricing and they’re looking for a Senior Pricing Data Scientist to join their growing team.

In this role, you’ll work in a forward-thinking pricing and data science function that thrives on collaboration, innovation and evidence-based decision making. Your models and analytics will directly influence fair, accurate and competitive pricing for customers across the Irish and UK markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Build transparent, explainable machine learning models for Motor and Home Insurance.
• Develop innovative pricing and rating factors for the Irish and UK Personal Lines markets.
• Tailor rating approaches for autonomous and electric vehicles, supporting future‑focused pricing strategies.
• Design and implement automated optimisers to balance profitability, fairness and commercial objectives.
• Lead new pricing and analytics initiatives through all stages of sign‑off, deployment and monitoring.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in General Insurance pricing or data science is essential, ideally in Personal Lines.
• Strong programming skills in SQL and Python.
• Hands‑on experience with machine learning techniques (e.g. GLMs, GBMs, tree‑based models, or similar).
• Proven ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to a range of stakeholders.
• Track record of driving change, influencing others and overcoming resistance to new ways of working.
• Commercial mindset with a strong interest in using data to drive better pricing decisions.
