Job summary

Mater Private Dublin has an opportunity for a senior pharmacist in our aseptic compounding unit. The ACU handles 1200 items per month for haematology/oncology services; you will collaborate with pharmacists, technicians, and the wider MDT in haematology/oncology and the pharmacy team in a modern, paperless hospital environment as it expands automation and informatics capabilities.

Qualifications

• Must be registered in the Register of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.
• Minimum 3 years hospital pharmacy experience.
• Experience in clinical trials and early access programmes desirable.
• Aseptics experience desirable, but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Work across the aseptic compounding unit (ACU) team of pharmacists and technicians.
• Collaborate with the wider MDT in haematology/oncology and the pharmacy team.
• Engage with automation and health informatics initiatives within a modern, paperless hospital environment.

Senior Pharmacist Aseptic Compounding Unit

Mater Private Dublin has an opportunity for a senior pharmacist in our aseptic compounding unit.

Our modern ACU opened in 2019. We currently compound 1200 items per month for our busy haematology / oncology service. You will work across the ACU team of pharmacists and technicians, and with the wider MDT in haematology / oncology and the pharmacy team.

Mater Private Network is a JCI-accredited hospital providing model 4-levelservices across a range of medical and surgical specialties. If you have an interest in automation or healthcare informatics, we offer the opportunity to expand your skills in this area in a live clinical and production environment.

• MPN is a fully paperless hospital, having implemented our EHR in 2024
• Our ACU is implementing a new compounding software system
• Our ACU plans to implement a compounding robot to streamline production
• MPN will open a second Day Oncology unit in Sept 2026
• MPN supports research and we provide services for many clinical trials as well as early access / compassionate use programmes.
• Be registered in the Register of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.
• Minimum 3 years hospital pharmacy experience.
• Experience inclinical trials and early access programmes (EAPs) desirable.
• Aseptics experience is desirable, but not necessary, as we will provide full training. Mater Private Network supports externally-provided education relevant to a role.
