Job summary

Soaring Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our award-winning allied health care centre in Melbourne. You will deliver occupational therapy services across multiple clinics, including onsite, remote, and in-home care, and collaborate with a dedicated front-end team.

You will mentor new grads, supervise OT students, and participate in MDT training while expanding your expertise in diverse clinical areas and client populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy using occupations and activities, including therapeutic self-awareness and client-centered approaches.
• Develop self-care, self-management, home management, and community reintegration skills.
• Educate and support individuals and families through collaborative partnerships and family-centered care.
• Coordinate care, manage transitions, advocate for clients, and arrange referrals.
• Modify environments and adapt processes with ergonomic considerations.
• Oversee equipment provision and training in prosthetic devices and orthotics.
• Conduct driver rehabilitation and community mobility sessions.
• Utilize natural contexts (home, school, work, community) for assessment and intervention.
• Apply a range of therapeutic techniques to enhance performance (wound care, sensory, cognitive processing, manual therapy).
• Take on more complex clients and supervise students in clinical settings.
• Mentor and support new grads and observe learners as needed.
• Engage in MDT training and workshops to build clinical skills.
