Job summary

Beaumont Hospital is recruiting a Chief I Neuro-physiologist for the Neuroscience department. The role is a 0.5 WTE 18.5 hours per week, on a 12-month specified purpose contract, based at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin 9.

The post reports to the Chief II Neuro-physiologist and offers an indicative salary in line with Government pay policy. The successful candidate will lead neurophysiology services, supervise clinical procedures (EEG, NCS, EMG, video telemetry EEG), oversee training and CPD, and

Qualifications

• Possess the B.Sc. in Clinical Measurement from Dublin Institute of Technology or equivalent.
• Possess the Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement (MPPM) or an equivalent.
• Have an equivalent relevant scientific qualification (Level 8) and at least 3 years managerial experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Neurophysiology team in the Beaumont Hospital department.
• Oversee clinical, managerial and administrative duties to ensure service delivery.
• Maintain patient safety, provide ongoing professional development and participate in audits.
• Engage in strategic planning, budgeting and service improvements within the NEUROCENT directorate.
