Job summary

Grifols, S.A. is seeking an MES Manager to lead the development, configuration and testing of Master Batch Records (MBRs) from concept through deployment.

The role requires at least five years in pharma/biotech and proven leadership to deliver complex MBR designs on schedule with project timelines. You will drive MES platform improvements, coordinate cross-functional reviews with Operations, Quality, IT, and R&D, and ensure full validation and compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science required.
• Minimum 5 years in pharmaceutical or biotech environment.
• Experience in PAS-X software/design.
• Regulatory knowledge (GMP & IT/system integration) desirable.
• Experience with OSI Pi software desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of MES Specialists and Junior MES Specialists.
• Oversee the design, configuration, testing, and implementation of MBRs from concept to deployment.
• Lead MBR design reviews with Operations, Quality, IT, and R&D.
• Manage testing activities to validate MES/MBrs.
• Support MES platform improvements and process optimisations.
• Provide training to EBR users (supervisors, operators, QA, IT).
• Develop and maintain MES procedures and documentation for compliance.
• Coordinate MBR change requests with stakeholders for timely delivery.
• Ensure adherence to deviations, change controls and CAPAs and integration of MES with ERP/OSI PI.
