Job summary

Vickerstock are seeking an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor based in Dundalk to join a leading engineering contractor. You will manage commercial activities across large-scale mechanical and electrical projects throughout the UK and Europe, with travel to project locations as required.

The role reports to the Head of Commercial and focuses on cost control, contract administration and project profitability, collaborating with estimating, pre-construction and project teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a Quantity Surveying or similar commercial role.
• Qualification in Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration, cost management and commercial reporting.
• Experience with FIDIC, VOB or other bespoke forms of contract.
• Proven experience managing subcontractor packages, valuations and variations.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and organisational skills.
• Full driving licence and flexibility to travel to projects across the UK and Europe.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial and financial delivery of projects, including cost control, valuations, variations and change orders.
• Oversee subcontractor procurement, package awards, negotiations and contract administration.
• Review project budgets, contractual terms and commercial risks, ensuring financial performance is effectively monitored.
• Prepare monthly valuations, progress reports and commercial updates for senior management.
• Work closely with Project Managers, clients and subcontractors to resolve commercial matters and support successful project delivery.
• Support the wider commercial team in maintaining project profitability and ensuring contractual obligations are met.
