Job summary

Medtronic in Ireland seeks a hands-on Senior Electronics Hardware Engineer to develop medical-device electronics across the full lifecycle. You will own PCB/PCBA development, from requirements and schematic capture to bring-up, verification, and manufacturing release, while guiding a multidisciplinary team.

Required are a strong background in analog/digital/mixed-signal design, multilayer PCB expertise, and hands-on lab skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronic Engineering or related discipline with 5+ years of relevant product development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in analog, digital, power, sensor-interface, and mixed-signal circuit design.
• Proven ability to deliver complete PCBAs from requirements to manufacturing release.
• Experience with IEC 60601 medical-device development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design analog, digital, power, sensor-interface, and mixed-signal electronics for medical products and physiological monitoring systems.
• Own complete PCB and PCBA development through lifecycle phases.
• Perform multilayer PCB stack-up definition, routing, grounding, shielding, and thermal design.
• Develop hardware test cases, fixtures, and automated tests using Python and/or LabVIEW.
• Lead prototype bring-up, electrical characterization, debugging, failure analysis, and root-cause investigations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve complex product-development challenges.
• Mentor less-experienced engineers and drive design improvements.
