Job summary

JCPS Mechanical Ltd in Dublin 11 seeks a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to lead complex HVAC, plumbing and piping projects from concept to completion. Based at our Ballycoolin head office, you will guide planning, design, coordination and execution with a focus on quality, safety and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years experience within the MEP Industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering projects including HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems, ensuring they meet performance, budget, and schedule objectives.
• Develop and review technical specifications, drawings, and scopes of work.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful execution and close-out.
• Conduct field investigations and site inspections to ensure compliance with design, codes, and safety standards.
• Coordinate procurement of equipment and materials; review submittals and approve shop drawings.
• Manage and mentor junior engineers and project staff.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshoot mechanical system issues during and after installation.
• Ensure all mechanical systems comply with applicable building codes, standards, and environmental regulations.
• Track project costs and assist with budget preparation, cost estimates, and change orders.
• Prepare and present project status reports to leadership and stakeholders.
