Job summary

Applied Materials in Dublin is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead design, development, qualification, and sustaining support for plasma diagnostic sensor hardware.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams across systems, plasma, electrical, software, and manufacturing to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions, applying GD&T, tolerance analysis, and DFx best practices throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in high-technology engineering environment.
• Strong expertise in mechanical design, 3D CAD, GD&T, and DFM.
• Experience with vacuum and plasma processing environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of mechanical components and assemblies.
• Create 3D models, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams throughout product lifecycle.
• Conduct testing, qualification, and failure investigations.
• Perform tolerance analyses and ensure manufacturability.
