What’s the Opportunity

We’re Ireland’s number one place to buy and sell cars, with the widest selection from trusted dealerships and we’re turning that strength into even bigger growth. This role requires a hands‑on executor. If you are hungry for a career defining chapter with one of Ireland’s most iconic brands, this is the role for you.

Reporting to the CMO, your key responsibilities include:

Brand performance & strategy
  • Owning and growing the Top of Mind (ToM) metric and overall brand performance for DoneDeal Cars.
  • Define the 12-month DoneDeal Cars strategy to win ToM and market share: campaign narratives, target segments and where/when we show up. Back recommendations with data, make explicit trade‑offs and reallocate budget to the highest‑ROI bets.
  • Set strategy‑aligned OKRs; translate them into a sequenced plan of initiatives. Put measurement in place before launch and consistently beat targets.
Brand stewardship & customer insight
  • Demonstrate a brand‑guardian mindset; treat the DoneDeal Cars brand as if they own it, protect consistency in design and tone and proactively correct off‑brand work.
  • Become and remain an expert in buyer and dealer behaviour. Build personas, run surveys and extract insights that guide communication.
Channels, media and partnerships
  • Manage the Marketing budget to achieve the best value for maximum impact.
  • Own the full media strategy and buying across all channels; select the most impactful inventory and negotiate for value.
  • Lead the influencer strategy: identify the right creators, negotiate deals and ensure alignment with our brand and commercial goals.
  • Oversee performance marketing with the Performance team: set objectives, budgets and guardrails; ensure optimisation for ROI across digital channels.
AI‑enabled marketing
  • Act as an AI‑native marketer; use AI to accelerate creative development, content, audience building, and optimisation.
Experimentation & measurement
  • Own the test‑and‑learn agenda - Define hypotheses, success metrics and a reporting cadence; scale what works and share learnings across the team.
Product Marketing
  • Develop impactful go‑to‑market product strategies with clear audience, messaging and communication plans., ensuring alignment across product and design. Effectively frame how this messaging feeds into a bigger annual marketing plan.
B2B dealership growth
  • Own the annual product update rollout to dealerships: compelling comms, webinars and collateral; segment‑specific sequencing; data‑backed plans applying lessons learned to maximise impact.
  • Partner with Sales Leadership on campaigns that drive MQLs.

What skills and experience do I need
  • Commercially minded operator who prioritises the highest‑impact initiatives to grow Top Of Mind.
  • Hands‑on executor and exceptional project manager in a fast paced environment.
  • Exceptional ability to manage multiple priorities; Management, Pro and brand needs simultaneously.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills across all levels of the organisation.
  • A highly effective and successful negotiator, with the ability to adapt and adjust their approach to work towards win‑win outcomes.
  • An effective influencer; able to gain support and agreement across the organisation for key initiatives.
  • Strategic storyteller: exceptional ability to craft and communicate compelling brand narratives that position DoneDeal Cars as the number one place to buy a car in Ireland.
  • Creative: proactively has creative ideas and shapes proposals on how to win ToM in low cost, high impact ways. Deliver with minimal guidance once approved.
  • Use data to inform every decision. Really understand the customer – naturally build personas, survey for specific insights and be hungry for behavioural insight.
  • High‑energy, motivational people leader; sets clear expectations, gives timely feedback and encourages open, constructive communication within the team.
  • Champion the team and deliver excellent work that can be showcased across the business, driving high‑performance standards for the team and Distilled.
