Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to turn new concepts into scalable, repeatable processes. You will partner with product engineering, manufacturing operations, quality, and site teams to qualify equipment and support technology transfer from validation to production readiness.

Based in Cork with a hybrid schedule, you will help deploy modular manufacturing cells and automation solutions across sites while delivering measurable milestones and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or manufacturing technology development.
• Experience supporting new manufacturing technologies, process development, or production deployment.
• Strong knowledge of DFM principles and ability to partner with product and manufacturing teams.
• Experience across functions to support process qualification, production readiness, and cross-site technology transfer.
• Ability to communicate technical recommendations clearly and drive alignment with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own and advance the manufacturing technology roadmap for new product introductions and site deployments.
• Lead process development for advanced fabrication technologies and new manufacturing methods.
• Develop modular manufacturing cell concepts that support flexible, repeatable deployment across sites.
• Support the proofing, integration, and deployment of automated inspection systems and other enabling technologies.
• Coordinate design-for-manufacturability feedback loops with product engineering and manufacturing operations.
• Manage cross-site technology transfer, process qualification, and production readiness activities.
• Define, track, and report manufacturing milestone metrics to confirm readiness and deployment progress.
