Job summary

Flutter UKI seeks a Senior Manager, Strategy to lead and shape our strategy program across Leeds, London or Dublin. You will work closely with BI, Research and Strategy teams to define priorities, mobilise initiatives and craft clear, Board-ready recommendations.

You will partner with the UKI Leadership Team and brand MDs to ensure disciplined focus, ambitious pacing and measurable outcomes, while leveraging your strategy consulting background and strong storytelling skills.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of strategy consulting experience at a premier firm or equivalent corporate role
• Track record of running sizable workstreams with multiple stakeholders
• Experience on strategy projects using primary research to inform recommendations
• Strong presentation skills and ability to build compelling storylines with high impact messaging
• Strong analytical and numeracy skills; comfortable with Excel, financial models and AI to support work
• Ability to distill complex concepts into clear actions and messages
• Nice to have knowledge of UKI betting and gaming sector and related ecosystem

Senior Manager Strategy

Senior Manager, Strategy - Flutter UKI

Location: Leeds, London or Dublin

Contract Type: permanent

Role overview

The Flutter UKI Strategy team report into Flutter UKI’s Director of Strategy and Growth. This role involves close collaboration with our BI and strategic project teams.

The UKI Strategy & Growth team works closely with collaborators across the business at the Flutter UKI Leadership Team (LT) and LT-1 level to deliver a number of strategic functions, including:

• Supporting the setting of the overall UKI strategic direction and mobilising the business against it
• Supporting with the definition of our UKI-wide priorities and success measures to ensure we stay on track to deliver against our strategy
• Ensuring we make most of our portfolio of brands to cover customer needs
• Maintaining a point of view on key strategic themes and issues and surfacing these at LT where needed
• Supporting scoping and delivery of key pivotal initiatives - working closely with business owners to ensure appropriate ambition and pace
• Collaborating closely with wider Flutter Group teams to share findings and insights

The role’s key partners include:

• The Flutter UKI Leadership Team
• UKI commercial leadership (brand MDs)
• The Flutter UKI Extended leadership team (ELT) working on strategic topics

The role of the Strategy Manager will be to:

• Rapidly develop and maintain expertise in the sector and on key strategic topics that impact the UKI business
• Drive delivery of key strategic projects, working closely with business owners and senior partners to ensure consensus, reporting and pace
• Work closely with Research, BI & Strategy teams on specific strategic topics to ensure strong insights developed to support action
• Work with Strategy & Growth Director and LT sponsors as needed to co-create Board-ready strategy materials

Experience & key competencies

• Minimum 2-3 years strategy consulting experience, at a premier firm or equivalent role within a corporate or financial setting
• Track record of running sizable workstreams with complex collaborator engagement
• Experience working on strategy projects, bringing to bear complex data sources including primary research to deliver a recommendation
• Strong presentation skills and ability to produce compelling storylines with clear high impact messaging
• Strong analytics and numeracy and comfort in using excel, financial models and AI to deliver work
• Ability to communicate complex concepts simply with a bias to action
• Ability to drive projects independently, keeping senior collaborators informed and engaged as needed
• Nice to have: Knowledge of UKI betting and gaming sector and ecosystem of competitors, suppliers and customers
• Experience working in analogous consumer industries – e.g. entertainment, leisure, travel, telco
