Job summary

MCS Group is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer / ML Specialist for a day-rate contract in Ireland. This 12-week initial engagement is hybrid, with an immediate start.

You will be a senior, hands-on contractor to assess and improve predictive models based on historical vulnerability and threat data, aiming for production-ready delivery. • Strong Python and production ML experience.
• Background in classification, predictive modelling, risk/probability scoring, anomaly detection or time-series modelling.
• Experience taking models from data and experimentation through to deployment, monitoring, drift and retraining.
• Comfortable working independently in an ambiguous environment, without a large ML team around you.
• Experience in a start-up, scale-up, consultancy or small ML team would be advantageous.

Senior Machine Learning Engineer / ML Specialist

Day-rate contract

A growing Cyber business is looking for a senior, hands-on ML contractor to assess and improve existing predictive models built around historical vulnerability and threat data.

This is a highly autonomous role. You will be expected to get into the existing data and models quickly, decide what needs to happen next, and move the work towards a reliable, production-ready solution.

Requirement's:

• Strong Python and production machine learning experience
• Background in classification, predictive modelling, risk/probability scoring, anomaly detection or time-series modelling
• Experience taking models from data and experimentation through to deployment, monitoring, drift and retraining
• Comfortable working independently in an ambiguous environment, without a large ML team around you
• Experience in a start-up, scale-up, consultancy or small ML team would be a real advantage

Cyber experience would be useful but is not essential. Strong candidates could come from fraud, financial risk, trust and safety, healthcare, predictive maintenance or other high-volume predictive environments.

This is not a GenAI, RAG or prompt-engineering role. The focus is on traditional predictive ML and practical production delivery.
