The Hodson Bay Hotel, part of the renowned Hodson Bay Group, is seeking a dedicated and reliable Senior Kitchen Porter to support our busy kitchen operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced kitchen porter who takes pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and efficiency in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

About The Role

As a Senior Kitchen Porter, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our kitchen. You'll support the chefs by maintaining a clean, organised workspace and leading the porter team to uphold the highest hygiene and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and support the kitchen porter team in daily operations.
  • Ensure all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils are cleaned and sanitised to the highest standards.
  • Manage waste disposal and recycling in accordance with hotel policies.
  • Assist chefs with basic food preparation when required.
  • Maintain cleaning schedules and ensure HACCP compliance.
  • Communicate effectively with chefs and the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter, ideally with some supervisory or senior responsibility.
  • Strong understanding of hygiene and safety standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
