Job summary

Yadimen Consulting Limited in Ireland is urgently seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Engineer to join a client team on a hybrid basis. This subcontractor role requires strong hands-on Java expertise in a large distributed services environment.

You will contribute from day one, working across the Java ecosystem within Agile delivery models. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of active Java development, deep Java OOP knowledge, Spring Boot proficiency, and real-world microservices and Kafka

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of active, hands-on Java development
• Strong, up-to-date expertise in Java OOP principles, concurrency and modern Java features
• Proven, current hands-on experience with Spring Boot
• Real-world coding experience in microservices architecture
• Solid practical knowledge of Apache Kafka in production settings
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with onsite and distributed teams

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and evolve microservices within a distributed systems architecture
• Develop and maintain Kafka-based event-driven pipelines
• Conduct and participate in code reviews to uphold code quality standards
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver features end-to-end
• Contribute to technical documentation, design decisions, and best practices

• Proven, current hands-onexperience with Spring Boot — candidates must be able to build and discuss Spring Boot applications confidently during technical evaluation.
• Real-world codingexperience in microservices architecture — candidates must be able to describe actual implementations and write microservices code; conceptualunderstanding alone is not sufficient.
• Solid practical knowledgeof Apache Kafka in a production setting, including producing, consuming, and managing topics — basic or introductory exposure will not meet the requirement.
• Experience working in Agile/ Scrum delivery environments.
