Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Java to join a world-class distributed agile team focused on the commercial virtual payments platform. You will design and develop scalable services, collaborate with stakeholders to shape requirements, and mentor junior engineers as part of a high-performing group.

You should bring strong Java development, Spring/Hibernate expertise, RESTful API experience, and knowledge of cloud native tools such as Cloud Foundry and AWS.

Qualifications

• Strong/expert Java development and architecture experience with Spring/Hibernate.
• Proven experience building world class solutions on a global scale.
• Experience in agile environments and active participation in retrospectives/elaboration sessions.
• Solid experience with RESTful APIs and JSON/SOAP-based APIs in Java.
• Knowledge of cloud native development (Cloud Foundry, AWS, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop a world-class distributed agile platform for commercial virtual payments.
• Contribute to team delivery and platform-wide architecture decisions.
• Work with stakeholders and senior management to define requirements and prioritize tasks.
• Mentor junior team members and promote best practices.
• Collaborate across products to ensure alignment with the product suite.
