Daon, a global leader in digital identity solutions, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Dublin. You will design, build, and improve cloud‑based backend services powering identity verification and authentication features within the TrustX platform.

This role emphasizes end‑to‑end system thinking, collaboration across cross‑functional teams, and leveraging AI‑assisted development tools to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend or full‑stack software development experience in SaaS environments.
• Strong proficiency in Java with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Hibernate.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Hands‑on experience with Git, build tools (Maven/Gradle), and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services built primarily with Java and Spring Boot.
• Implement REST APIs, service integrations, data processing pipelines, and backend logic.
• Write maintainable, testable code using modern engineering practices.
• Collaborate with frontend, mobile, DevOps, architects, and QA to deliver features end‑to‑end.
• Profile and optimize services for performance, throughput, and scalability.
• Contribute to improving observability (metrics, logs, tracing) in coordination with DevOps.
