Job summary

PIMCO is seeking a senior leader within its Legal & Compliance organization to guide the ACE guidelines platform. You will interpret investment guidelines, manage a multi-disciplinary team, and partner with Portfolio Managers, Trading, Legal, and Client Servicing to ensure governance across client portfolios.

The role blends leadership, technical acumen, and broad exposure to PIMCO’s investment platform, with a strong emphasis on automation and scalable processes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' experience in investment compliance or related fields.
• Experience interpreting investment guidelines and client mandates.
• Strong understanding of UCITS/AIFMD regulations.
• Experience partnering with Portfolio Managers, Trading, Legal, Compliance, and client-facing teams to resolve matters.
• Proven people management, leadership, coaching, or mentoring experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and mentor a team responsible for investment guideline implementation and governance.
• Interpret and implement complex client mandates, investment restrictions, and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with Portfolio Managers and Trading to provide guidance on guideline interpretation and investment-related matters.
• Collaborate with Client Servicing, Legal, Product, Portfolio Compliance, and Operations to operationalize language and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the implementation and governance of compliance rules within ACE platform.
• Act as a key escalation point for complex guideline matters, including client-specific restrictions, UCITS requirements, and regulatory interpretations.
• Support interactions with clients, custodians, depositaries, and regulators where required.
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational efficiencies across the guidelines function.
• Ensure consistency, scalability, and best practices across guideline implementation and governance processes.
