Job summary

Enable Ireland in Dublin South seeks a Senior Grade Speech and Language Therapist to join an interdisciplinary team serving children and families in CHO6. You will assess, diagnose, and intervene with a diverse caseload of 0–18s, providing supervision and ongoing service delivery.

The post offers permanent full-time and part-time posts based in Sandymount and Leopardstown, with a salary of €63,313–€74,947 pro rata per annum and 33 days of annual leave pro rata.

Qualifications

• Be registered, or be eligible for registration, with CORU.
• Have 3 years’ full-time post-qualification clinical experience.
• Possess the knowledge and ability for proper discharge of duties.
• Provide proof of statutory CORU registration before contract issue.
• Eligible to work in the State.

Responsibilities

• Work as a senior member of the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide SLT services to children and families in the region.
• Deliver assessment, diagnostics, and intervention to a caseload.

We are currently seeking highly-motivated Senior Grade Speech and Language Therapists to join our team CHO6, Dublin South. We have full time and part time posts available, currently based in Sandymount and Leopardstown.

Leopardstown

Our Leopardstown office is ideally situated within a HSE building at Leopardstown Shopping Centre, offering excellent connectivity, convenience, and a vibrant working environment. Located directly on the Luas Green Line and just minutes from the M50, it ensures easy access for commuters from across the city and beyond. Sandymount

Our Sandymount office is located in a vibrant seaside village with a welcoming community feel. Just a short walk from Sandymount Strand, the village offers a great mix of cafes, restaurants, and local shops, including a Tesco for convenience. The office is served by the DART commuter train and central bus routes, making it easily commutable from the city and surrounding areas.

Contract Type: Permanent Post

Contract Hours: Full and Part Time Posts

Salary Scale: €63,313– €74,947 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments)

Annual Leave Entitlement: 33 days pro rata per annum and proportionately less for less than 12 months service.

Overview of the Post:

To work as a senior member of the interdisciplinary team providing services to children and families within the region. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of a speech and language therapy support to an assigned caseload which may include children and their families on the community team and/or an assigned special school team. This will include assessment diagnostics and intervention, clinical and performance supervision and ongoing service delivery to children with a range of disabilities attending our service. Services are provided to children aged 0 – 18 years with physical, sensory, and/or learning disabilities, and/or developmental delay.

The successful candidate will have:

• Be registered, or be eligible for registration, as a Speech & Language Therapist by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
• Have 3 years’ full time (or an aggregate of 3 years’ full time) post qualification clinical experience.
• Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
• Provide proof of statutory registration on the Speech & Language Therapist Register maintained by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.
• Eligible to work in the State.

AND

• On appointment, practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Speech & Language Therapists Register maintained by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
• Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to Enable Ireland.
• Experience of interdisciplinary team working.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with children with disabilities.
• Experience working with children with Eating, Drinking and Swallowing difficulties.
• Experience working with Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC).
