Woodston Personnel Ltd. seeks a Consultant Physician in General Internal Medicine with a Special Interest in Endocrinology to join the clinical team. The post focuses on acute medical care and developing endocrine outpatient services, with leadership in pathways and education.

The role includes overseeing inpatient management, teaching, audits, and contributing to research in Endocrinology and Diabetes.

Qualifications

Full registration on the Specialist Register in General Internal Medicine and Endocrinology/Diabetes or within 6 months of eligibility.
Completion of a recognized Higher Specialist Training program in GIM and Endocrinology.
Current Advanced Life Support (ALS/ACLS) certification.
Proven clinical expertise in acute unselected medical takes and complex endocrine outpatient management.

Responsibilities

Lead inpatient care on acute medical wards and participate in the on-call rota.
Provide specialist outpatient clinics covering general endocrinology, thyroid disorders, adrenal/pituitary pathology, calcium metabolic disorders, and complex diabetes.
Offer specialist consultation and inpatient liaising to ED, ICU, surgical teams, and regional specialties.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including diabetes and endocrine nurses, dietitians, and biochemists.
