Job summary

Albany Beck in Ireland is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer to join an AI Innovation Lab, delivering rapid prototypes and scalable production systems that push the boundaries of intelligent tooling.

You’ll own end-to-end delivery across backend, frontend and infrastructure, develop Java (17+) services with Spring Boot, build Angular UI, integrate AI services, and deploy to GCP with Kubernetes, all while mentoring teammates in a fast-moving, experimental environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years Java experience (Java 17+ preferred).
• Strong Spring Boot and microservices experience.
• Full stack experience including Angular.
• Kubernetes and Docker.
• CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• SQL Server or similar database expertise.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• LLMs or prompt engineering exposure.
• Event streaming systems.
• Innovation or greenfield project experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI-driven prototypes rapidly
• Own end-to-end delivery across backend, frontend, and infrastructure
• Develop backend services using Java (17–25) and Spring Boot
• Build UI components using Angular
• Integrate AI services and APIs
• Design REST APIs and distributed systems
• Work with SQL Server databases
• Deploy to GCP using Kubernetes and containers
• Optimise performance and refine prototypes into production-ready solutions
• Contribute to architecture and technical direction
• Mentor other engineers as the team grows
