Job summary

Dynamic Futures LLP in Dublin is seeking an Associate Electrical Director to lead electrical design across data centre projects, manage delivery teams and engage with clients. The role combines technical leadership, project delivery and business development within a hybrid working environment.

Applicants should have a degree in electrical/building services engineering, Chartered Engineer status, 12+ years in electrical design and strong experience with data centres and critical power

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
• 12+ years’ experience in electrical engineering design.
• 5+ years’ experience leading electrical delivery on data centre or mission-critical projects.
• Experience delivering large-scale data centre developments and power infrastructure.
• Chartered Engineer status through a recognised professional institution.
• Legal right to live and work in Ireland.
• Experience with ETAP, SKM or equivalent power systems analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design across major data centre projects throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee HV/MV and LV power distribution, substations, UPS systems and standby generation.
• Review power systems studies including load flow, short-circuit, protection coordination, arc flash and harmonics analysis.
• Provide technical guidance on resilience, redundancy and capacity of electrical infrastructure.
• Review and approve electrical designs, calculations, specifications and deliverables.
• Maintain engineering standards, design procedures and QA processes.
• Oversee electrical engineering delivery across multiple projects.
• Manage resources, design programmes, engineering fees and budgets.
• Coordinate with other disciplines, contractors, suppliers and client representatives.
• Provide technical oversight during construction and commissioning.
• Identify and manage design risks and programme constraints.
• Support recruitment and development of team capabilities.
• Promote collaboration and consistent delivery standards.
• Act as senior technical contact for clients and delivery partners.
• Develop and maintain client relationships.
• Contribute to bids, technical proposals and fee negotiations.
• Ensure designs meet applicable standards and regulations.
• Embed safe design principles throughout project delivery.
• Lead technical reviews and apply lessons learned.
