Job summary

MKO is Ireland’s leading environmental and planning consultancy with Dublin and Galway offices. We are seeking a Senior EIA Specialist to lead EIARs and related documents across energy, infrastructure, residential and commercial sectors in Ireland.

You will guide teams on Irish and EU environmental assessment legislation, coordinate inputs and manage project delivery, profitability and client relations while mentoring junior staff and contributing to business development.

Qualifications

• Third-level qualification in environmental science, environmental engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading EIARs for large-scale projects.
• Proven track record in EIARs through full Irish planning process.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams on EIA projects.
• Strong knowledge of EIA Directive, Planning and Development Act 2000, Habitats Directive and EIAR guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, project management and technical quality of EIARs and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs into coherent EIARs.
• Manage project delivery, profitability and client expectations.
• Mentor and supervise junior staff and sub-consultants.
• Drive business development and win new work through fee proposals.
