Job summary

RSK Ireland Ltd. is seeking a Senior Ecologist to lead survey work and support national planning through biodiversity assessment and project management.

The role is permanent, full-time, and hybrid (home/office) with flexibility to work between locations across Ireland. You will oversee field surveys, ensure timely delivery, and contribute to business development while mentoring junior ecologists and coordinating with a regional team.

Qualifications

• A degree in ecology, zoology, biology, or environmental science.
• Ideally 7+ years relevant experience or proven track record in a similar role.
• Full driving licence with access to your own vehicle.
• Membership of CIEEM – level commensurate with experience.
• Desire and ability to work well within a team, and mentor junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Lead medium/large ecology projects and tenders from inception to delivery.
• Manage project finances, resources, subcontractors, risk and QA, and client feedback.
