Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Drainage Engineer specialising in Water, Drainage and Environmental Engineering for transportation infrastructure projects to expand our expertise across the UK & Ireland. The role focuses on drainage design from concept through to detail for high-profile rail, highway, Local Authority and aviation schemes.

You will lead delivery, manage projects and teams, and grow client relationships while contributing to innovative, lasting solutions.

Qualifications

Chartered or Incorporated Engineer and/or degree qualified (role dependant).
Extensive post-degree experience in designing sustainable drainage solutions.
Knowledge of drainage design principles for infrastructure.
Experience with Civil 3D and/or Causeway Flow software/MicroDrainage.
Familiarity with UK/IE Building Regulations and standards.
Proven ability to manage projects and teams to meet quality and commercial targets.
Experience in Highway, Rail, Airport drainage and asset management, foul water and sustainable drainage.

Responsibilities

Delivery of civil engineering drainage projects across highways, rail, and infrastructure.
Lead projects from concept to completion with high technical standards.
Deliver drainage services for major transport schemes in UK & Ireland.
Lead client relationships and progress meetings.
Manage a team of drainage engineers and resource allocation.
