Job summary

EirGrid Group seeks a Senior Database Specialist to support Oracle, PostgreSQL and SQL Server estates underpinning corporate functions and mission-critical power system operations.

The role focuses on upgrading and implementing in-premise and cloud-based systems, delivering strong database administration and helping drive project delivery and solution optimisation across critical national infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience delivering and operating database solutions.
• IT degree or recognised qualification in a relevant technical discipline.
• Extensive experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL and SQL Server.
• Database backups including RMAN; familiarity with DataGuard.
• Experience with Oracle RAC and Data migrations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and support of Oracle, PostgreSQL and SQL Server estates underpinning corporate functions and mission-critical power system operation.
• Lead upgrades and migrations for on-premise and cloud-based systems.
• Drive project delivery and optimise database solutions to ensure reliability and performance.
