Job summary

A leading company in sleep science is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to develop and deploy advanced machine learning models that derive insights from extensive sleep data. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in machine learning, a strong background in Python and SQL, and an advanced degree in a quantitative field. The position offers a 9-month fixed contract with a competitive salary ranging from €7100 to €8350 per month, with a requirement to work at least 2 days onsite in Dublin.

Qualifications

Location: Dublin, Ireland (no relocation), 2 days a week onsite

Employment Status: 9 Month Fixed Contract (covering for Maternity Leave)

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and deploy state-of-the-art machine learning models to extract meaningful insights from vast sleep datasets.
  • Apply advanced statistical techniques and ML algorithms to detect patterns, predict sleep behaviour, and personalize recommendations.
  • Design, validate, and optimize predictive models fromresearchtoproduction, ensuring real-world impact.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sleep scientists, engineers, and product leaders, to translate data into actionable solutions.
  • Present compelling data-driven narratives to internal stakeholders, partners, and external audiences.
  • Uphold scientific rigor and best practices at every stage of model development.
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in machinelearning,statisticalanalysis,and datascience.
  • A passion for real-world impact: youhavedeployedMLmodelsinproductionand seen them drive results.
  • Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in a quantitative field (ComputerScience, Data Science, Statistics, AppliedMathematics, Bioinformatics, etc).
  • Strong programming skills in Python (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch etc).
  • Expertise in supervised and unsupervised learning, time series modeling, and deep learning.
  • Deep understanding of inferentialstatistics,experimentaldesign,andlarge-scale data analysis.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with structured and unstructured data.
  • Excellent communication skills—you can translate complex insights into compelling, understandable stories.

  • Experience developing ML models for biometric, physiological, or health-related data.
  • A background in biostatistics, digital health, or behavioural science.
  • Experience with deploying models in cloud environments or edge devices.
