Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the Data Commercialization Platform. You will design, develop, and support cloud-native data products and scalable data pipelines, leveraging Databricks, Snowflake, Iceberg, Delta Lake, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• Experience designing and supporting large-scale data engineering solutions.
• Hands-on with Databricks, Snowflake, Iceberg, Delta Lake, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Strong Python, SQL, Spark/PySpark skills and data engineering best practices.
• Experience building batch and real-time data pipelines and using orchestration tools (Airflow).
• CI/CD, Git, automated testing, and IaC in production workloads.
• Knowledge of data governance, security controls, metadata, and lineage.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support cloud-native data products and platform capabilities.
• Build and operate scalable batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Develop reusable frameworks and platform services on Databricks, Snowflake, Iceberg, and cloud platforms.
• Implement data governance, security, observability, and operational controls.
• Support modernization, automation, and engineering excellence through CI/CD and IaC.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, governance, and business teams to deliver enterprise data solutions.
• Participate in production support and continuous improvement activities.
