Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. seeks a strategic Component Engineer to drive component selection and lifecycle across Energy system platforms. You will partner with system architects, hardware, firmware, reliability, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to ensure performance, reliability, and cost targets are met.

The role demands deep expertise in components, supplier ecosystems, obsolescence management, and product lifecycle support from concept through production and sustaining engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in: Component Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, Semiconductor Applications, Electronics Product Development, Mechanical Engineering.
• Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own approval and selection of electronic, electrical, and electromechanical components for Energy system products.
• Develop and maintain approved component strategies, preferred vendor lists, and technology roadmaps.
• Evaluate semiconductors, power devices, sensors, communications ICs, passive components, connectors, electromechanical devices, memory devices, and power conversion components.
• Partner with system architects and design engineers to identify optimal component solutions balancing performance, reliability, availability, and cost.
• Lead component lifecycle management, obsolescence handling, alternate sourcing, and supply continuity planning.
• Drive technology insertion and component refresh initiatives, and support cost engineering and design-to-cost activities.
