Mercy University Hospital in Cork City seeks a Senior Compliance HR Business Partner to lead risk-based HR compliance across the employee lifecycle. The role is on-site, permanent, full-time, aligned to the HSE Clerical Officer Grade VII pay scale.

You will manage employee relations, implement HR audits, support change projects, and collaborate with stakeholders across hospital operations. A Level 8 degree in HR/Business/Law and deep ER experience are required; healthcare/public sector

Competenze

• 5+ years in a HR environment at Business Partner/People Leadership level.
• Level 8 Degree (or higher) in HR, Business, Coaching, Management or Law.
• Strong ER experience required with IR experience preferable.
• Employment Law qualification preferable.
• Experience working and supporting numerous stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work on high level value-add ad hoc projects while continuing to achieve routine goals.
• Hospital and/or Public Sector experience a distinct advantage.

Senior HR Business Partner - Compliance

Permanent Contract Full Time Hours.

This role is aligned to the HSE Pay Scale of Clerical Officer Grade VII.

Responsibilities:

• Design and lead a risk-based HR internal audit programme, testing compliance at each stage of the employee lifecycle and following through on corrective actions including:
• Recruitment and appointment compliance
• Pre-employment and ongoing employment compliance
• Statutory, contractual and policy compliance
• Manage departmental quality and compliance initiatives, including establishing workflow processes, completing internal audits, creating and executing action plans.
• Lead and contribute to the delivery of the HR Strategy as assigned in line with organisational objectives.
• Lead and contribute to projects as assigned.
• Understand the operating environment of a unionized, acute hospital setting, presenting information about projects to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage a delegated portfolio of Employee Relations and Industrial Relations cases on behalf of the MUH.
• Implementation of HSE Circulars and Memos, and all other regulatory requirements as required.
• Maintain hospital wide knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and practices to perform staff roles effectively and to ensure standards are met.
• Provide high quality HR support during change projects, resource & headcount planning, IR/ER issues, probation management, grievances, dignity at work, training needs, audits and all other HR related needs while promoting employee satisfaction and engagement.
• Develop a deep understanding of the operational and strategic challenges of the hospital from a HR perspective.
• Act as a role model and mentor for the HR agenda within the organisation.
• Espouse the MUH values and develop strategies to ensure theirperpetuity in the MUH.
