Qualifications

• 10+ years IT/infrastructure experience with 5+ years hands-on AWS
• Deep hands-on experience designing and supporting production AWS environments
• Strong Linux/Unix administration and scripting skills
• Strong AWS networking, security, cloud architecture and high-availability knowledge
• Experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
• Scripting/automation skills in Python and/or Shell
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/EKS
• CI/CD, DevOps, and SRE practices experience
• Monitoring/logging/observability tools like Splunk, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry
• Experience handling high-severity production incidents and deep RCA
• Experience with DR/BCP/RTO/RPO and resilience
• Experience with messaging middleware (IBM MQ, ActiveMQ, JMS)
• Cloud security, vulnerability remediation and compliance
• AWS cost optimization / FinOps
• Working knowledge of Azure and/or GCP
• Experience in regulated, enterprise, client-facing environments
• Strong communication and stakeholder management
• Ability to collaborate across Application, Infra, Architecture, Security, Network, DBA, Product teams
• Willing to participate in on-call rotations and critical production support

Responsibilities

• Focus on production reliability, cloud infrastructure, automation, observability and security
• Manage incident response and post-incident RCA for high-severity events
• Design, implement and tune AWS environments with IaC
• Support cost optimization and performance improvements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple domains
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning and resiliency initiatives
