Job summary

Roughan & O'Donovan is seeking a senior resident engineer for a 12-month contract on the Waterford City Public Infrastructure Project. This role involves supervising construction activities related to a multi-modal transport hub and railway flood defence works. Candidates should have at least 15 years of postgraduate experience, a degree in engineering or construction management, and significant site-based experience in civil engineering. The position requires strong communication, organizational skills, and chartered engineer status.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or construction management (Level 8 or equivalent).
• At least 15 years of postgraduate experience in civil engineering/building works.
• Minimum 10 years of site-based experience on civil works.

Responsibilities

• Supervise marine and land-based civil works for flood defenses.
• Oversee building and civil works for the transport hub and associated plazas.
