Job summary

AECOM is expanding its Ireland Civil team and is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead a range of drainage, highways and water infrastructure projects across Ireland. You will deliver designs from feasibility through to construction, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

We value practical engineering, quality, and buildability, with a supportive hybrid working model and opportunities for career development through AECOM University.

Qualifications

• Clear communicator with experience working as part of multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in drainage networks, SuDS, water distribution, flood risk, highways/pavements, and earthworks modelling.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering designs from feasibility and planning through to construction.
• Provide technical input in drainage design and support junior engineers.
• Work with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and to a high technical standard.
• Undertake site inspections, prepare reports, and manage technical and delivery risks on projects.

AECOM is expanding, and we're looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to work on a range of civil engineering projects across Ireland. This role suits an experienced engineer who enjoys technical delivery, growing responsibility, and supporting junior team members.

Our team delivers civil engineering services across Ireland and the U.K., working with developers, housebuilders, local authorities, and major clients. We support projects at all stages, from feasibility and planning through to detailed design and construction, covering drainage, highways, flood risk, and water infrastructure.

The team values practical engineering, collaboration, and mentoring, with a strong focus on quality and buildability.

• Lead and deliver civil engineering designs from feasibility and planning through to construction.

Requirements:

• Degree-qualified Civil Engineer; Chartered or working towards Chartered status.
• Experience in drainage networks, SuDS, water distribution, flood risk, highways/pavements, and earthworks modelling.
• Comfortable using tools such as MicroDrainage / InfoDrainage, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
• Clear communicator with experience working as part of multidisciplinary teams.
